what is art?

The form of artistic interpretation is subjective, and therefore, depends more on the observer than on the author, no matter how simple the work is.

From this premise I do my work, with a spirit of constant search, not sticking to a specific form of style, trying to adapt the theme during the work itself. In general, the work starts spontaneously, and during the process, I take definitive resolutions. It is always likely that a work of this type will suffer from corrections, since in many cases, I follow the path that my intuition led me to produce, finding surprises that may be positive or need revision when they are not satisfying.

I ask myself, why the works I create do not have a single personal characteristic in a constant way? I believe it is the influence of the years when I participated in an amateur theater group, a profession I was thinking of studying. In the theater, a different theme is played each time, with different characters, using different settings.

In many of the works, acrylic and pastel were used. I currently work with various jute and fabric. In part of my works, I try to represent human feelings as in “A beaten doll” or “Obsession”. In others, I want to express social situations as in “The gossip”, or environmental crises as in “The Violence” or “Dew”.

The 21st century has so far been characterized as a period without ideology, excluding religious, commercial and geopolitical interests. The art in postmodernism era, reflects this environment, accepting all kinds of artistic manifestations, even putting into question what was previously considered as “Kitsch”.
